Three agricultural products of Xiangxi win award

During the promotional activity of Hunan’s 20 excellent agricultural product brands held in Changsha on July 8, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture saw three of its well-known agricultural products (Baojing Golden Tea, Longshan Lily and Guzhang Maojian) rated as the provincial excellent brands and ten of its famous as well as high-quality ingredients win the gold prize or silver prize.

Baojing Golden Tea is renowned for its “fragrant, green, fresh and mellow” quality characteristics with high content of amino acids, tea polyphenols, chlorophyll and water extracts. Longshan Lily, which can be used as both food and medicinal herbs, is famous for its “good quality, original ecology and no pollution”. Its fresh fruit is plump and beautiful in shape. Its color is like that of jade. Its most distinctive feature is rich in selenium. Guzhang Maojian, one of the top ten famous teas in China, is thin, round and straight. The tea soup is green and bright.
 
In addition to the provincial excellent agricultural product brands, 30 famous and high-quality ingredients were awarded the gold prize and 70 awarded the silver prize. Among them, Xiangxi Smoked Bacon and Xiangxi Yellow Beef won the gold prize. Such ingredients obtained the silver prize as Longshan Lily, Bangye Streaky Smoked Bacon and Baiyun Tribute Rice.
